Behind senior guard Kyler Columbia's career-high 33 points, No. 6 Glenn blew out Goshen, 72-52, to win its second straight Goshen Holiday Tournament Saturday.
Columbia went off, hitting a school-record nine three-pointers. She finished 12-of-18 from the floor, including 9-of-13 from three-point range. Her 33 points were just two points off the school record of 35 set earlier this season by classmate Loren Vukovits.
Columbia was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player, while teammates Kyannah Stull (eight points and nine assists in the championship game) and Vukovits, who scored 23 points and had 21 rebounds in Glenn's two victories in the tournament, were named to the All-Tournament Team.
Against Goshen, Glenn also got nine points and five assists from Natalie Shetler and eight points and seven rebounds from Hayley Preston.
Glenn trailed 15-14 at the end of the first quarter, but exploded in the second stanza, outscoring the hosts 22-7 to take command.
Thanks to Columbia's sizzling performance, the sixth-ranked Lady Falcons improved to 12-0 on the season.
Glenn will put its undefeated record on the line next when it visits 7-6 Marian on Tuesday.
The Lady Falcons JV team also won the Goshen Holiday Tournament to improve to 12-0 on the season. They beat Goshen 50-38 in the championship game as freshman Riley Groves scored 13 points and freshman Mariah Plunkett added 11 points.
