CAPE CORAL, Fla. — Raymond W. “Okie” Kruzick, 66 years of age, of Cape Coral, Fla. passed away Nov. 24, 2013 at Hope Hospice House in Cape Coral, Fla. Ray was born Nov. 27, 1946 in Winamac, a son of Helen Coyne Kruzick and the late James R. Kruzick who passed away on Nov. 28, 1998. Ray graduated from Plymouth High School in 1965.
Ray was employed as a driver and machine operator at Rinker Concrete in Bonita Springs, Fla. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving from 1965 to 1969. An avid motorcycle rider, his memberships included the American Legion Bikers, Ralph’s Angels Motorcycle Riders and the Fort Myers Beach American Legion. He had resided in Fort Myers for the past eight years coming from Tulsa, Okla.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his fiancée and life partner, Patricia Goodell of Cape Coral, Fla.; his mother, Helen Kruzick of Plymouth; his brother, James (Nancy) Kruzick of North Fort Myers, Fla.; his nieces, Lorrie Kruzick of Kansas and Jill (Rodney) Lehman of Maryland; his great-niece and nephews, Jamie Gates, Allen Gates, Ethan Lehman and Grant Lehman.
Visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 29, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, Fla. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Marine Corps Military Honors.
