Mary Beth Hunter to receive NLC Service Award

PLYMOUTH — On Friday night, the Northern Lakes Conference will present Plymouth’s Mary Beth Hunter with the NLC Service Award.
In Hunter’s 33 year career at Plymouth High School, she held varying positions as both girls and boys tennis coach, Assistant Athletic Director, and Athletic Secretary. Hunter exhibited a tireless commitment and loyalty to PHS student athletes, staff and programs.
Mary Beth’s NLC career athletic contributions include 20 years as Plymouth head girls tennis coach, 12 years as the school’s head boys tennis coach, 10 years as PHS Assistant Athletic Director, 26 years as Athletic Secretary and more than 30 years as city tennis director for Plymouth.
Hunter was inducted into the Indiana High School Tennis Hall of Fame in 1995. In 2009, she received the Marian Archer Memorial Award from the ICGSA as an advocate for women’s sports in Indiana.
Hunter will be presented this award by PHS Principal Jim Condon and Assistant Athletic Director John Scott prior to the varsity boys basketball game with Northridge.
