• Learn about the Chapel in the Cornfield - and more. Be a part of a guided tour of the Ancilla Domini Chapel. Learn about the history of the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ and tour the Poor Handmaid museum. Take a short bus tour of the beautiful grounds at The Center at Donaldson. Enjoy a light lunch with the Sisters and residents. End your day with a viewing of the art exhibit “Reflections in Pastel” at the Moon tree Studios. This fun day begins at the Mother House at The Center at Donaldson at 10 a.m. and concludes at 2 p.m. There is $5 charge for lunch. • Kiwanis Club of Plymouth meets from 12 – 1 p.m. at Ponderosa. We “serve the children of the world” with a special focus on improving the lives of children in our community. Join us for lunch and informative speakers. New members are always welcome.
• The first session of HOLA! Conversational Spanish with Jane is today at 10:00 AM at The Life Enrichment Center, 1305 W. Harrison St, Plymouth. Jane will make learning simple conversational Spanish fun during this series of three sessions. Classes will meet October 16, 23, and 30 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. All classes are free.
• Grief/Share Support Group will meet from 6:30-8 p.m. at the LifePlex in Plymouth. Call 574-248-2765 for information.
• Plymouth Optimist Club “Friend of Youth” meets from 7 - 8 a.m. at the Ponderosa Steak House. You are invited to join us for breakfast and informative speakers. The Optimist Club focuses on the youth of our community, and other community projects.
• The Alzheimer’s Support Group for Marshall County and surrounding areas will meet in a new location at Lifeplex 2855 Miller Dr. in Plymouth. This group meets on the Third Tuesday of each month from 10 -11:30 a.m. The meeting is open to anyone who has a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia or who would like more information regarding the disease.
