Community Calendar

• Breaking the Chains of Addiction Community Prayer at 9 a.m. at the Denham Freewill Baptist Church, 5597 W. 660 N. Winamac. All are welcome.
• 1-3 p.m., Wine & Canvas with Kathy Zentz at the Gallery. You will paint a picturesque landscape with acrylic paints. You may bring your own drink and the Gallery will supply light appetizers. You haven’t tried, this is a great class to get started in painting. All supplies included in the cost of $35. Reserve your spot by calling 574.936.9515.
• The Redbud Trail Rendezvous will bring frontier fun right on schedule April 28-29 at the Fulton County Historical Society. The location is four miles north of Rochester on U.S. 31 and 375 N. Tents will be set up south of the barn and Living History Village. Saturday hours are 10-5 and Sunday hours are 10-4. Admission is $3 for adults, and free for children age 11 and under. • Quentin Flagg’s Hollywood themed 35th Birthday and 20th Anniversary celebration at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 901 E. Jefferson St., Plymouth. Doors open at 6 p.m. show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 or $20 for both days. Call Maggie at 574-952-2807. Food available for purchase provided by KofC #1975.
• Nelson’s Port-A-Pit Fundraiser for Mexico Mission Trip at MC Sports Parking Lot Pilgrim Lane, Plymouth from
11:00 a.m. - 6 p.m. or until sold out. Chicken $7.25; Pork Chops $7.25; BBQ Ribs $8.50; Pit-Tatoes $4.25. Credit and debit accepted. Amish Fried Pies will be available in a variety of flavors $4 each or 3 for $10.
• Tyner IOOF Fish Fry from 4-7 p.m. sit down and carry out at the Tyner Community Building. Cost is $10 for adults and $4 for children 6-10. Kids under 6 eat free. All meals include pie or cake.
• Maxinkuckee Odd Fellows Pancakes and Sausage/Biscuits and Gravy from 6 a.m. to noon at 15003 18th B Road and Pine Road. All you can eat. Cost is $8 for adults and $6 for children. Bake sale items support Union Twp. 4-H.
• Have kids? Need some free fun? Attend the Community Fun Fair hosted by the Bourbon United Pentecostal Church. From 1 – 4 p.m., kids and families can partake of free hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, and slushies. A variety of carnival games will be set up in the church parking lot aimed for all ages. Several inflatables also await your youngster’s energy. The church is located at 201 N. Bourbon St, Bourbon. Parking is available in the grass lot to the north of the parking lot. Event will be held rain or shine. Thank you too, to the number of businesses that have sponsored this event.
• Wine & Canvas Class offered for adults with Kathy Zentz from 1-3 pm. You will be painting a landscape with acrylics. You may bring your own drink or wine and the Gallery will offer light appetizers. We know you can paint, you can do it, all you have to do is sign up by calling the Heartland Artists Gallery 574-936-9515 and reserve your spot (max 8 people).
• Sale: Plymouth, 1314 N. Michigan (Calvary Lutheran Church, across from KFC), 8 a.m.-12 p.m. Bag Day, whatever fits in bag for $2. Some items exempt from bag sale. Something for everyone.
