Community Calendar

• Lots of reasons to come downtown during Earth Week, April 16 - 22. The Marshall County Museum is showing a short film today from noon – 1 p.m. about the controversial misuse of wetlands in northwestern Indiana called, “Everglades of the North.” Bring a sack lunch and enjoy this historic film about a natural wonder, comparable to the Florida Everglades, that once occupied nearly a million acres west of Marshall County.
• Plymouth Optimist Club “Friend of Youth” meets from 7 - 8 a.m. at the Ponderosa Steak House. You are invited to join us for breakfast and informative speakers. The Optimist Club focuses on the youth of our community, and other community projects.
• The Alzheimer’s Support Group for Marshall County and surrounding areas will meet in a new location at Lifeplex 2855 Miller Dr. in Plymouth. This group meets on the Third Tuesday of each month from 10 -11:30 a.m. The meeting is open to anyone who has a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease or a related dementia or who would like more information regarding the disease. • Bremen Historic Museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
• The public is invited to the meeting of the Marshall County Genealogical Society. Experienced genealogist and Research Specialist Anita Kopetski will speak on “How to Help a Librarian Help You. What to Do and Not Do at a research facility.” The program starts at 6 p.m. at the Marshall County Museum in Plymouth. A business session will follow.
