• The Friends of the Library is having their Book Sale/Grand Opening from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the new location in the large meeting room of the Culver Public Library.
• The 2018 Distinguished Young Women of Triton Scholarship Program, formerly known as Triton’s Junior Miss, will be held at 7 p.m. in Triton High School’s Performing Arts Center. Tickets can be purchased from particpants or at the door the night of the show. For more information visit

• Tyner I.O.O.F. Lodge Fish Fry from 4-7 p.m. at the Tyner Community Building. Sit down dinner with dessert included. Cost is $9 for adults and carry-outs and $4 for children 6-10. No all fish dinners.
• Woodworking: Log becomes Bowl 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Moon Tree Studios, 9638 Union Rd., Plymouth. Experience the ages-old process of making a beautiful and functional bowl from a hunk of tree trunk. A foundation in the selection of the wood and how it’s prepared leads to the main event—we’ll each use a hand adze to shape, sculpt, and smooth a round bowl. Drying the green wood and applying a food-safe finish will also be explored, as well as how to adapt this heritage creative process for different-shaped bowls as you continue with this heritage art form. Bring a sack lunch.
• Gala reception for the 29th Annual Heartland Artists Juried Regional Art Exhibit from 1-4 p.m., 101 N.Michigan St., Plymouth. Awards presented at 3 p.m.
• Shred for Food event from 10 a.m. to noon at the old K-Mart parking lot, Plymouth. Unwanted paperwork shedded on site. $5 per box or a free will donation. All proceeds donated to Marshall County food pantries.
