Area under flash flood watch

Marshall and all surrounding counties are among 24 northern Indiana counties currently under a flash flood watch.
The National Weather Service in northern Indiana has issued the watch through 2 a.m. EDT Tuesday.
According to the National Weather Service, "thunderstorms with heavy rainfall are expected to become widespread across the area this afternoon and tonight as a slow moving cold front moves into the area, this combined with recent heavy rains and resultant high stream and river levels could result in flash flooding."
The National Weather Service urges those in the watch area to monitor forecasts and be prepared to take action in the event of flash flooding.
