City of Knox fall leaf pick-up

September 2, 2014

KNOX — Fall leaf pick-up for the City of Knox will begin Oct. 14. Please place all leaves in front of residence, next to the curb, on the street, in a long row, not in the alley. Please do not bag the leaves, as the garbage contractors will not pick up bagged leaves.
Remember to keep all trash out of leaf piles so the vacuum can pick the leaves up.
Place any branches and limbs separate so they can be picked up also.

No burning in city limits

September 2, 2014

KNOX — Mayor Rick Chambers would like to remind the citizens of Knox that there is a no burning ordinance in the City of Knox.
Now that the leaves are falling, it is very tempting to burn leaves — but please respect the no burn ordinance.
The street department will be picking up leaves each day of the week beginning Oct. 14. Leaves must be placed along the side of the street and not in the alleys for pick up. Please do not bag the leaves as it makes it more difficult for us to manage. The garbage contractors will not pick up bagged leaves.
