GROVERTOWN — The Fourth Annual Open Team Rodeo will take place at Saylor’s Arena at 2 p.m. on Saturday, a quarter mile east of Grovertown Truck stop on U.S. 30, 4600 N. 1100E, Govertown.

Ancilla College golf outing a rainy success

PLYMOUTH — A little rain didn’t dampen the spirits of golfers participating in the Ancilla College Golf Classic at the Plymouth Country Club recently.
A brief downpour interrupted play for about 15 minutes during the college’s fundraising golf outing but, “no one really seemed to mind and we had a great time,” said Alumni Relations director Tom Sibal.

Uceny seeking 3rd straight title at US Outdoor Track Championships

It never gets any easier.
Certainly not for Plymouth native Morgan Uceny, who seeks her third consecutive national title in the women’s 1,500-meter run at the U.S. Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
The meet begins today in Des Moines, Ia., and Uceny — the No. 1-ranked 1,500 runner in the world just a year ago — is struggling.
The simple fact is: She hasn’t been running very fast, not by Uceny standards. And she hasn’t been winning many races.

NAPPANEE — When legendary Wa-Nee teacher and coach Steve Neff announced that the 2013-14 girls basketball season would be his last at NorthWood High School, it was a very bittersweet occasion.
The administration and school board were faced with what could have been a very daunting decision.
How does one go about selecting a candidate that would be worthy of continuing a victorious momentum spanning nearly four decades?
