LOGANSPORT — Leona C. Good, 90, of Miller’s Merry Manor, Logansport, formerly of the Argos community, died Sept. 25, 2013 at 8:55 p.m. at Logansport Memorial Hospital following a very brief illness.
She was born Nov. 17, 1922 in Pulaski County, the daughter of Newton H. Rude Sr. and Geneva Cyrena (DePoy) Rude.
She had lived in the Argos community since 1976 coming from Winamac.
On June 6, 1942 she married Grover Baker, they later divorced and he preceded her in 1984. On June 14, 1976 she married Richard Good, he preceded her in 1991.
Leona was a housewife and homemaker having worked for RCA in Monticello for 20 years.
She was a member of the James Lowell Corey American Legion Auxiliary Post #68, Argos; and a former member of the IOOF Rebekah Lodge.
She is survived by son – Ronald E. Baker and wife Nita of Rochester; stepsons – Danny O. Good and wife Judy of Argos; Gene Good and wife Sharon of Kenton, Ohio; and Jim Good of West Palm Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren – Vicki Hodson and husband Brian of Winamac; Debbie Stanton of Royal Center; and Steve Baker of Leesburg; nine stepgrandchildren – Dawn Peterson and husband Chris of Mentone; and Jennifer Johnson and husband Roger of Rochester; Michelle Good of Orlando, Fla.; Scott Good of Kenton, Ohio; Jeff Good and wife Andrea of Kenton, Ohio; Rex Good and wife Erin of Kenton, Ohio; Becca Brewer and husband Ty of West Palm Beach, Fla.; Chris Good and wife Carrie of Aiken, S.C., and Brian Good of Evendale, Ohio; 30 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and brother Lawrence Rude and wife Gladys of Logansport.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, stepson Pat Good, four brothers and two sisters.
Friends may visit with the family Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos. Services will be at 12 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013 at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Rob Mace of the Cornerstone Church of Argos. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos.
