PLYMOUTH — Fran (Ione) Brauer, 73, of Plymouth, formerly of Walkerton, passed away Monday, June 17, 2013 at 3 p.m. after a one year illness. Fran was born Sept. 14, 1939 in Elwood to Frank and Ione M. (McCarty) Tillman. Fran moved to Walkerton in 1947 and was raised by Carl H. Gillette, deceased. In 1955 she was married to Robert Clayton, who preceded her in death. On Aug. 4, 1989 she was married to Allan Brauer, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Kathy Brauer and one son, Jody Clayton.

BREMEN — John J. Heckaman, 74, of Bremen passed away Monday, June 17, 2013 at home. He was born Nov. 29, 1938 to Harrison H. and Elida Ruth (Macomber) Heckaman in Bremen.

PLYMOUTH — Richard Sterling Frid, 66, passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family at 9:50 a.m. Monday, June 17, 2013.
Richard was born to William V. and Ingrid L. (Gustafson) Frid on March 15, 1947 in Lansing, Mich. He played football for and graduated from Warsaw High School in 1965. He played Division One Football at Indiana State before transferring to Purdue University.
On June 1, 1968 Richard married his high school sweetheart, Kathryn Anna Lee, in Warsaw and together they shared 45 wonderful years together.

PLYMOUTH — George R. Fasel, 88, of Plymouth, died peacefully in his sleep at home Monday, June 17, 2013.
He is survived by his two daughters: Diane K. Fasel and her husband G.W. Stockton of Fresno, Calif. and Debbie L. Bercik of Plymouth; four grandchildren: Rebecca Jones, Ryan Fasel, Alaina Marshall and Jacob Fasel; and three great-grandsons.
George was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Shirley, and his son, David W. Fasel.
A private family burial will be held at a later date.

CULVER — Jeffery “Jeff” Lee Hyndman, 54, of Macy, formerly of Culver, died June 17, 2013 at 7 a.m. at his residence following an unexpected illness.
He is survived by his son, Nicholoas (Jill) Hyndman of Culver; daughter, Alyssa Hyndman of Culver; stepchildren, Jennifer Ann (TJ) Smith of Rochester; Stephen Joshua Streets of Culver; and Deanna Marie (Robert) Hinsey of Culver; five grandchildren; and sisters, Neala Hyndman of Macy, Lisa Hyndman of Logansport.

SOUTH BEND — Thomas J. Berndt Jr., 67 years old, passed away at 1:10 p.m. Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the Kindred Hospital, South Bend. Thomas was born May 9, 1946 in Hamlet to the late Thomas J. “Hap” and Ruby (Armentrout) Berndt Sr. He formerly lived in Plymouth and Lakeville. On Oct. 11, 1969 in Hamlet, he married Rosemary E. Hicks.

ARGOS — Roger Lee Alvis, 89, of Argos died June 15, 2013 at 4:11 p.m. at his residence following an unexpected illness.
He was born March 26, 1924 in Princeton to Gilbert and Caryol (Meeker) Alvis. He has lived in the Argos community since 1961, coming from Indianapolis,.
On Jan. 5, 1961 in Plymouth he married Marie Louise Bernero.
He was a co-owner of White Arts Printing Company where he brokered printing business for his company. He retired in 1994.

Survivors include her husband, Bob; her daughter, Kay (Burt) Hall of South Bend; her son, Kurt Schaeffer of Bass Lake; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and her sister, Juanita (Joan) Minear.

KENDALLVILLE — Roland “Rolly” John Antonelli, age 70, died Sunday, June 2, 2013 at Salina Regional Health Center in Salina, Kan. Mr. Antonelli was born in South Bend on Aug. 31, 1942 to the late Anthony Antonelli and Marjorie Mae (Harden) Antonelli. He married Barbara Ann Wilson on July 1, 1978 in South Bend.
Rolly graduated from Riley High School in South Bend in 1960 and attended Indiana University.
He owned and operated The Print Mint in Plymouth from 1975-2002.
