Will Power's Day

Will Power turning laps during the morning warm up session.The morning warm up session allowed Power a chance to show some speed and shake the car down.Power on his way to the starting grid before the race.Power leads the field into the first turn of the Indycar Grand Prix.Power spent most of the race in the lead.With the IMS logo in the background Power continues to stretch out the lead.The race was run fairly clean without any full course yellows.Will Power celebrates his win in victory circle.The top three finishers acknowledge the crowd with the trophies. Scott Dixon finished second, Power won and Ryan Hunter-Reay finishes on the podium in third.Champaign filled the air on the podium as the top finishers share with each other and fans.

Saturday was Will Power's day at the Indycar Grand Prix. Power started from the pole, lead the majority of laps only relinquishing the lead during green flag pit stops. The event ran full course caution free, with only a couple of brief local yellows. On the podium along side Power was Scott Dixon in second and Ryan Hunter-Reay in third.
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway has been converted to the oval and practice for the 500 starts today. The official entry list released today shows 33 entries for a full field of cars but qualifying drama will be limited to the pursuit of the pole.
