Wakarusa Council discusses road improvements

WAKARUSA -- Discussions at the Wakarusa Town Council were centered around renewing the downtown area.
New road construction will call for complete removal of the roads and total replacement. Many of the roads in town don't have concrete underneath them, so roads deteriorate and crumble faster with only soil beneath them. The construction will allow road crews to add proper base materials to the roads so they don't need to be replaced as often.
There was also discussion of curb and gutter systems to be added, however it was decided that they should be reconsidered in next years budget.
