ETNA GREEN — Vyron W. Cripps, 43, of Etna Green, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes Monday, Oct. 21, 2013 in his home.
He was born Feb. 10, 1970 to Wayne C. Cripps and Joyce Greenlee at Bremen. Vyron was blessed to be raised by his father and Alma Waddle Cripps. He was a lifelong resident of the Bourbon area and was a graduate of Triton High School class of 1988. He continued his education at Ivy Tech where he earned a machinist degree. Vyron worked at Newmar Corporation of Nappanee as a service technician. He enjoyed motorcycles, the outdoors and especially his grandchild.
Vyron served in the National Guard as a reservist. He was a member of the NRA, past member of the Bourbon Fire Department and Bourbon EMS.
He married Stacy Young on Aug. 19, 1989 at Bourbon. She survives along with their children; Stanley Cripps of Bourbon, Ryley Cripps of Etna Green, Courtney Cripps of Etna Green and her fiancé Tyler Palmer. His granddaughter, Kyleigh, birth mother, Joyce Greenlee of North Carolina, his mother, Alma and Terry Neidig of Bourbon, mother-in-law, Jackie and Terry Treesh of Etna Green, his mother and father-in-law, Judy and Rex Young of Bourbon. Also surviving are his four sisters; Angela Cripps of Waynesville, N.C., Stacy and Kevin Damron of Etna Green, Alana and Scott Mappin of Augusta, Ga. and Jill and Kevin Barber of Bourbon.
Preceding in death was his father, Wayne Cripps, Sept. 3, 2002.
You are invited Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013 to share memories with the family from 2-8 p.m. at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon.
A celebration of Vyron’s life will be Friday, Oct. 25, 2013 in the Bourbon Bible Church at 1 p.m.
Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Bourbon.
The family requests memorial contributions are made to: Bourbon Fire Department or to Potawatomi Wildlife Park in his memory.
