Unbeaten LaPorte rallies past Lady Pilgrims

January 15, 2014

PLYMOUTH — Plymouth had a great first half, but LaPorte had a better second as they were able to come from behind to beat the Lady Pilgrims by a 65-45 final.
While Plymouth played the upset card in the first half, the Lady Slicers showed why they are unbeaten and considered one of the state’s elite teams in the second, striking from 3-point distance with deadly accuracy and running the floor with authority to put up 30 third quarter points.
But the first half belonged to the Lady Pilgrims.
“I thought our kids did a great job controlling the pace and getting the shots we wanted,” said Plymouth head coach Dave Duncan. “The second half...wow.”
