PLYMOUTH — Thelma E. Kelly, 89, of Plymouth, passed away, Saturday, April 27, 2013, at 8:50 a.m., at the Catherine Kasper Life Center, in Donaldson.
Thelma was born Jan. 28, 1924, in Russell County, Va., to McKiney and Lucille (Litton) Chaffin. Thelma and Willard “Bill” Kelly were united in marriage Sept. 26, 1947, in Virginia. Bill preceded her in death May 15, 1992, after almost 45 years of marriage.
Thelma was a familiar face to many people, in Plymouth. She, and her husband Bill, owned and operated Price’s Steak House, in downtown Plymouth, for many years. She later worked at Treat’s For Her.
