Teen injured in Saturday evening crash

May 7, 2012

PLYMOUTH — Cayla Hulse, 19, of Plymouth, and Dustin Cobb, 20, of Plymouth were traveling together westbound on 6th Road Saturday evening while involved in a verbal argument. After their vehicle passed Pear Road, Cobb grabbed the steering wheel and turned it to the right, causing Hulse to lose control of her vehicle and collide head on with a utility pole, snapping the pole at the base. Hulse was transported to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center emergency room with neck and chest pain. Cobb received minor lacerations to his face from the airbag deployment but refused transport. Marshall County Sheriff's Department officer Rob Hafke investigated the incident.
