St. Joseph Medical Center doctor missing in Colorado

March 18, 2014

MISHAWAKA – Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center (SJRMC) asks for the community's prayers for one of its physicians and his family.

While hiking near Vail, Colo., on Friday morning, Dr. James McGrogan was separated from his companions after he decided to continue on during a break and has not been seen since. Crews from several agencies are searching for McGrogan.

McGrogan joined the SJRMC Medical Staff in February as a partner of Valley Emergency Physicians.

"We ask that you say a special prayer for Dr. McGrogan, his wife, family and the devoted rescue personnel searching for him," said SJRMC officials in a press statement released late Monday.
