Slugger’s Bullpen to hold open house

December 11, 2012

PLYMOUTH — For a third straight year area baseball players will get a chance to sharpen their game over the winter months.
Post 27 and the Diamond Spyders have opened the “Sluggers Bullpen” for use in Plymouth. The facility is located in the back of the Young’s TV and Appliance building on Jefferson Street.
This Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the Slugger’s Bullpen invites the public in for a special open house. You can go and see first-hand the programs and facilities available to players of any skill level or age.
Players of all ages can sharpen their hitting skills in the facilities two batting cages with pitching machines also available. You can work on pitching on the real clay mound in the facility. Players can reserve time of their own, and personal instruction is also available. Teams can also reserve the facility for some offseason training away from the snow of winter.
As always Sluggers Bullpen will also have special camps and instruction throughout the course of the winter. College and high school coaches from all around the state have stopped to give instruction over the course of the past three years at the facility.
Those interested in more information on programs and facilities can call Dean Colvin at 574-933-2727 or Bob Caban at 574-780-4313.
