School board seats open

Bremen Public Schools Superintendent Russ Mikel has announced there will be three school board members’ positions up for election (one District I — Out of Town, one District III — In Town, and one District II — At Large) in the General Election this fall. Candidacy information and forms can be obtained either from his office or the Marshall County Clerk’s Office (at the Courthouse) in Plymouth. The filing dates for this election began July 25 and run through noon, Aug. 24.

It would be helpful if the new members would make decisions that were in the best interest of all students and teachers. It seems a bit disturbing that Bremen cannot sustain assistant principals because of the superintendents failure to ensure proper practices are occuring and they cannot keep assistant principals because the head k-8 principal does not follow proper procedures for his administration team, Look into it, and they do not follow proper state protocol.

I sure am glad that someone has actualy spoken up about this. It seems that everything that is going on in the K-8 Building gets swept under the rug. There are a large number of teachers and assistants in the building that are fearfull of their jobs if they speak out about the lack of professionalism be the administrator.
