Plymouth trumps Bremen
Plymouthâ€™s volleyball team earned a four-game victory on the road in Bremen Wednesday, 25-18, 24-26, 25-10, 25-17.
The Lady Pilgrims were led by Cassi Quissellâ€™s 14 kills with 25 digs in a breakout performance, while Hunter Stevens tallied 11 kills and three aces, and Libbie Portteus finished with 10 kills and eight blocks.
Haley Harrell set a prolific 42 assists with three aces, four blocks and 16 digs, and Emily Eveland notched 22 digs with three aces.
Chelsea Huppert and Cassie Sears finished with 17 and 12 kills, respectively for Bremen, while Sabrina Gilley passed out 37 assists, Rachael Czarnecki served three aces with five digs, and Shelby Zellmer finished with seven digs.
Plymouth improves to 8-10 while Bremen slips to 14-7.

CGA beats LaVille
Culver Girls Academy beat out LaVille in the minimum of games Wednesday, 25-14, 25-18, 25-21 at the Academies.
Katy Bjornson registered 14 kills with 12 digs, Rachel Simon set 30 assists with four aces, Olivia Sever killed 11 points with another four aces, Kayla Trefren stuffed four blocks, and Ruth Vonderheide finished with three.

Culver Militaryâ€™s boys tennis team lost a home meet with state-ranked St. Joseph Wednesday night, 3-2.
Sam Concannon defeated Patrick Oâ€™Connor, 6-3, 6-1 at 1 singles, and CMAâ€™s 1 doubles tandem of Brian Tao and Martin Fecarrota won an exciting three-setter with St. Joeâ€™s Leo Romanetz and Michael Minatel, 6-7(4), 6-4, 6-1.

Plymouth races in NLC 3-way
Plymouthâ€™s boys and girls cross country teams competed in a three-way Northern Lakes Conference meet with Goshen and Northridge Wednesday night.
The boys lost to Goshen 17-42 and the to Northridge 16-64.
The girls split their meet, beating Goshen 24-31 and falling 18-41 to Northridge.

The Plymouth Rockies freshman football team escaped Elkhart Memorial Wednesday night with a 22-21 win.
David Bacon had two touchdown runs and a two-point conversion to lead the young Rockies. Caleb Koss chipped in with a TD of his own, and Travis Owen converted both of his conversion kicks to make the difference.
Plymouth stands at 4-1 for the year and will travel to Syracuse next Thursday to take on Wawasee at 5:30 p.m.
