Girls swimming
PHS competes at Warsaw Sectional
The PHS girls swimmers turned in an strong performance at the Warsaw Sectional prelims Thursday after a hit-or-miss three weeks of practice with no meet.
Lexi Fetters moved up from eighth seed to the sixth seed in the finals of the 100 fly with a lifetime best time of 1:09.91. Fetters also qualified for consolation finals in the 200 IM.
Also qualifying for consoles was Jessica Drury in the fly, as well as all three Plymouth relays.
Others turning in lifetime best performances Thursday were Dayana Ortiz and Hope Barrow in the 200 and 100 free, Lauren Wiegand in the 100 fly and breast, Devin Gritton in the 200 free and Mariah Tepper in the 100 back.

Marian snaps Triton streak
Three Marian players scored in double figures, and Mishawaka Marian snapped a four-game Triton win streak with a 58-44 win over the Trojans at the Trojan Trench Thursday night.
Triton was led by Tanner Shepherd's game-high 25 points but it wasn't enough to match Nick Harris' 16, Devin Cannady's 15 and Jake Whitfield's 10 points.
Triton slipped to 8-6 with the loss.

LaVille falls to Winamac
LaVille's boys basketball team couldn't hold onto a four-point halftime lead in a 57-50 loss to visiting Winamac Thursday night.
Blake Berger scored 24 and Kyle Kopetski finished with 10 in the loss.
Jeremy Bentle and Parker Fox finished with 11 apiece, and Dalton Button scored 10 for Winamac.

Bremen beats Jimtown
Bremen's girls basketball team extended its win streak to three games with a 60-53 defeat of visiting Jimtown at home Thursday night.
Micaela Box scored 18, and Ashley Lucchese finished with 12 to lead the Lady Lions offensively.
Bremen moved to 6-10 with the win.

OD wraps with win
Oregon-Davis wrapped up its regular season with a 79-30 defeat of visiting Elkhart Christian Thursday night at The Den.
Alicia McIntosh dropped 25, followed by 17 points apiece from Ashley Campbell and Jesse Avarone.
The Lady Cats closed the regular season at 16-2.
