Boys basketball
Triton shoots down Argos
Triton’s boys basketball team knocked down 10-of-25 3-pointers on the way to a lopsided 69-39 win over visiting Argos in a game pushed forward to 5 p.m. due to weather Tuesday.
Skyler Reichert drilled five triples on his way to a game-high 19 points, while Tanner Shepherd finished with 17 and Joey Corder scored 12 in the win at the Trojan Trench.
Dominic Cataldo finished with 15 points to lead Argos, which played without usual starting point guard Taylor Ogle.
Triton improves to 8-5 with its fourth straight win. Argos slips to 8-5, meanwhile.
The Trojans will host Mishawaka Marian Thursday, while Argos plays host to Caston Friday.

Girls basketball
OD tops South Central
in sectional preview
Ashley Campbell and Alicia McIntosh scored 28 and 21 respectively, and Class A No. 1 Oregon-Davis beat South Central (Union Mills) in a preview of the Class A Triton Sectional-opener Tuesday night in Hamlet.
Haley Collings finished with 14 in her first game back from a concussion as OD moved to 15-2.
The Lady Cats will close the regular season with Elkhart Central Thursday.

Men’s college basketball
Jets stall in Plymouth
Outscoring the Jets of Jackson College, 69-53, the Ancilla College men’s basketball team improved their Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA) record to 5-3 and 8-11 overall.
The Chargers came out and took an early lead against the Jets. At halftime, Ancilla led by 14 points.
With a strong Charger defense, they maintained the advantage until the final buzzer.
Ancilla’s Andrenos Powell was tops offensively, putting up 20 points. Demetrius Adams (19) and Rosey Green (14) combined for 33 Charger points. Adams also ended the day with 11 total rebounds, while Jay Feltson collected an additional 15 for Ancilla.
Monday, Ancilla will face Muskegon on the road. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Women’s college basketball
Jayhawks trump Lady Chargers
The Ancilla College women’s basketball team faced defeat as they were outscored, 71-49, by the Jayhawks of Muskegon Community College.
Putting up 15 points and collecting 11 total rebounds, freshman Taylor Kuhnle was tops for the Chargers. Ancilla’s Hope Wagner scored an additional 15 points, while Brittany Himes had 12 points of her own.
The Lady Chargers are on the road Wednesday as they take on Lansing Community College at 5:30 p.m.
