Girls basketball
Triton tops Bethany
Kylie Mason had a breakout game with 18 points, six steals and eight assists, and Triton snapped a two-game skid with a 55-39 win over Bethany Christian Monday night at the Trojan Trench.
Mason knocked down 5-of-10 3-pointers on her way to the game-high 18 points as the Lady Trojans finished 7-of-13 from beyond the arc.
Lauren Hostrawser finished with 10 points and seven rebounds for Triton, which outscored Bethany 21-14 over the final quarter after slipping late in losses to Plymouth and NorthWood.
Triton moves to 2-3 and plays its Northern State Conference opener at Knox Saturday at 8 p.m.

Bowling
Argos teams each drop 2
The Argos girls bowling team lost a nailbiter to New Prarie 10.5-9.5, while the boys team fell 18-2 in a match Nov. 21. The Lady Dragons also fell to South Bend Clay 18-2 in a recent match while the boys lost by an identical 18-2 score to Clay.
In the girls match with New Prairie, Jamie Ewing posted both high scores of 178 and 170.
Gabby Bennett rolled scores of 97 and 101, Chelsea Bradley recorded scores of 83 and 134, Cassidy Morris rolled a 72, and Brittani Brown rolled a 113. In the girls match with Clay, Argos scores were Brown 134-80, Ewing 168-257 (both high games), Morris 45-77, Bennett 111-86 and Bradley 115-108.
In the boys match with New Prairie, Argos scores were Ben Boberg 94-77, Tyler Ringer 108-79, Donny Ruh 121-72, Brian Boberg 115-82 and Noah Duff 139-146 (both high games).
In the boys match with Clay, Brian Boberg rolled 84-106, Ringer rolled 109-104, Ben Boberg recorded a 126-69 and Ruh rolled 114-76.
Next action for the Dragons is Thursday at Quick’s Lanes against Mishawaka.
