Washington hands Plymouth 1st loss
Washington handed Plymouth’s girls basketball team its first loss of the season in South Bend Wednesday night, 48-27.
The Lady Pilgrims shot just 31 percent from the floor (9-of-29) and turned the ball over 33 times in the loss at the end of a game which featured 53 combined turnovers by both teams.
Freshman Nicole Horvath had a big night with 10 points and 10 rebounds for the visitors, while Hunter Stevens also scored 10 for Plymouth, which slipped a game to 6-1.
Washington was led by Tiara Murphy’s 13 points and Jayda Watkins’ 12 in the win, which pushes the Panthers to 6-2.
