Plymouth Public Library celebrates 100 years on Sunday

July 12, 2013

The Plymouth Library is hosting a Big Birthday Bash from 1-4p.m. on July 14. The event is completely free and open to the public as the library will have food, entertainment with a bit of library history.

Kicking off the event at 1p.m. will be a silent movie that would have played at Plymouth's first movie theater, the Orpheus. There will be a second showtime at 3:15 p.m. Also, there will be juggling derring-do by Al Eisenhour at 1:40 p.m. in the Laramore B. Room and a historical talk by Kurt Garner at 2:30p.m. in the Fireplace Room.

Everything is free and open to everyone for the library's centennial. Balloon creations will be available for children throughout the event.
