Plymouth’s Bayley named Academic All-Scholar for Franklin

FRANKLIN — Plymouth girls golf alum Allison Bayley received Academic All-Scholar honors from the Women’s Golf Coaches Association representing Franklin College, it was announced Wednesday.
She was one of two Grizzlies to earn the honor along with teammate Avery Brown.
Bayley, a junior accounting major, tied for 21st in the 2012 Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships (HCAC), helping Franklin capture the conference title and advance to the NCAA Division III Championships. Student-athletes must have a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point average to qualify for All-Scholar honors.
The Franklin women’s golf team placed 19th at the NCAA DIII championships. The team has won the last two HCAC championships and three of the conference’s past four titles.
