Parking lot project begins tomorrow

October 31, 2013

PLYMOUTH - Several repair and upgrade projects are underway around the city of Plymouth and local officials along with companies working on the repairs are asking for cooperation from local motorists and pedestrians.

Rieth-Riley will be renovating the downtown parking lot at Garro and Water Street - the Bauer Parking Lot - and has asked for and received closure dates for the lot from the Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety.

The lot at the northwest corner of Garro & Water will officially be closed at 7 a.m. on Friday Nov. 1 through Nov. 25 for that reconstruction.

The company is asking for all vehicles to be removed from the lot by that time.

Also, there will be no parking on Garro Street adjacent to the south side of the parking starting at 7:00 AM on Friday and continuing through the project.

Demolition of the sidewalks, lot pavement milling, along with excavation for the green areas and curbs will start shortly after 7 a.m. on Nov. 1.

For more information about this project as well as sidewalk and viaduct work, check out tomorrow's edition of the Pilot News. To subscribe, call 574-936-3101. E-edition and print subscriptions are available.
