One airlifted in single-vehicle crash on east shore of Lake Maxinkuckee

July 25, 2013

Three male victims were removed from a single vehicle crash on State Road 117 near Culver around 1:30 a.m. Thursday morning.

One victim had to be extricated by firefighters from the vehicle, which apparently missed the curve just west of the Culver Marina at 3000 East Shore Drive near the east shore of Lake Maxinkuckee, and struck a stone wall. That victim, believed to be the driver, was airlifted to South Bend. The other two victims were taken by ambulance to a closer facility.

The names of those involved are not yet known, but updates will follow as more information is known.
