North Judson Police Chief passes

Police Chief Doug Vessely passed away unexpectedly this morning.

It has been confirmed by the town clerk of North Judson that Police Chief Doug Vessely passed away early this morning at St. Joseph Medical Center of unknown causes. Vessely had been taken to the hospital in Plymouth the day before for treatment.
A procession to deliver the chief home took place Friday, April 15 as the escort and hearse drove down U.S. 35 going south.
Funeral arrangements are being made by the family and a visitation has not yet been established for Vessely.
The North Judson Town Council meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, April 25, at its usual time until further notice. The discussion of who will be appointed as town marshal in Vessely's place will be discussed.
