BREMEN — Tammy Venable, a longtime photographer, recently decided to open Custom Framing Solutions in downtown Bremen, filling what she sees as a need for the community.
“For many years there were several custom framing stores, but they are all gone now,” said Venable. “Now we finally have one back again. I think it’s something that people in the area use. I already had some clients.”
Custom Framing Solutions is located at 114 W. Plymouth St., in the same building as Unicom Satellite (also owned by Venable).
Venable said that the location is perfect for a photography studio. Besides doing custom framing services, she will also offer shadow boxes, framing for sports memorabilia, and a wide selection of her landscape photography. She mostly takes photos of landscapes, animals and wildlife.
“I have many pre-framed items already done and on the wall in the gallery,” said Venable.
Venable recently received her certification in custom framing and is looking forward to using her storefront to display her passion for the craft. The store will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., but Venable said she is at the store late many evenings.
The store has been open for a couple of weeks, but there will be an official grand opening and ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. June 29.
