BOURBON — Naomi J. Augustine, 91, longtime resident of Bourbon, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014 at 11:34 a.m. in Bremen Health Care and Rehabilitation.
Naomi was born July 20, 1922 to Onel and Mary (Oler) Sickmiller in Marshall County. She married Robert E. Augustine on Nov. 3, 1945; he died Feb. 23, 2008. Naomi was a graduate of Plymouth High School class of 1940.
Naomi was a homemaker. She volunteered at Kosciusko Community Hospital at Warsaw and she and Bob enjoyed being a part of the square dance club.
Naomi will be greatly missed by her three children: daughters; Edith Eileen (Mrs. Robert) Baker of Plainfield, Ill., Celeste Ann (Mrs. Bill) Reed of Denver and son, James Robert Augustine of Bourbon. She was further blessed with her four grandchildren; Michelle Renee Reynolds Mutert, Robyn Lynn Reynolds Keller, Jenifer Nicole Augustine Miller, and Adam James (wife Liz) Augustine, five great-grandchildren; Jessica Casaz, Abigail Grace Miller, Nathan Christopher Miller, Charlotte Augustine and Jake Keller. Her sister Juanita Jacobson of Plymouth also survives.
Preceding in death were her parents, a sister, Rachel Goralczyk and her husband Robert.
You are invited Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014 to share memories with the family from 4 – 5 p.m. at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St., Bourbon.
A celebration of Naomi’s life will follow at 5 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Pastor John Branch officiating.
Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Bourbon.
The family requests memorial contributions are made to: Bremen Health Care and Rehabilitation in her memory.
