Lady Lions legend Huber honored

Longtime Bremen girls basketball coach Marty Huber was recognized as the girls Bi-County Tournament’s all-time winningest coach in a special ceremony between semifinals Thursday.
Huber boasts seven titles as head coach of the Lady Lions and his teams still own several records at the tournament, which is in its 48th year. His 1985 squad set records for most team points in one game with 98, most team points in a tournament with 201, most team field goals in a tournament with 78 and most team free throws in one game with 26. The 1987 Lions set a record for most team field goals for a game with 41, and the 2001 Bremen squad set a record for most points in a single quarter with 31.
