WALKERTON — Hazel Fern Keiper, 76, passed away in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth on Sunday, July 13, 2014.
Hazel was born Dec. 9, 1937 in Knox to Foster and Pearl (Barnett) Collins and lived in the area all of her life.
On Aug. 27, 1955 at Koontz Lake, she was married to Charles V. Keiper, who preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Shirley.
Survivors include one daughter, Cindy (Joseph) Peters of Ft. Wayne; four sons, Michael (Deb) Keiper of Walkerton, Clinton (Jan) Keiper of Grovertown, Jeffrey (Karen) Keiper of South Bend and Shawn (Marigrace) Keiper of Grovertown; one brother, Roger (Geri) Collins of Tennessee; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial gathering and luncheon will be held Monday, July 28, 2014 from 1 to 3 p.m. (Central Time) at the Koontz Lake Missionary Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Koontz Lake Fire Department or the Koontz Lake Library. Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel is handling arrangements.
