Hazardous weather possible

October 31, 2013

According to the National Weather Service, potentially hazardous weather is expected in the Marshall County area late this afternoon and evening.

The chance of thunderstorms will increase early this evening as a cold front approaches from the west, the alert from the NWS advises. Forecasters say there is a "small possibility" that some of the storms could be considered severe.

Wind gusts will be the main threat under these conditions. Locally heavy rainfall is also a possibility, which could lead to localized flooding.

Showers are expected to continue throughout the day, with temperatures nearing 66 degree. Be prepared for showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 11 p.m, then showers likely.

Tonight's low will be around 46. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.
