PLYMOUTH — Gisele Jeanne-Louise Morris, age 87, of Plymouth, passed away at 12:24 p.m., on Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, in Mishawaka.
Gisele was born on Sept. 5, 1926, in Lyon, France, to Pierre Francois Marius and Marie-Antoinette Josephine Chamoret Lagneau. Gisele married Edward Lloyd Paxton after World War II. She later married Leroy Morris and they lived in Plymouth since the mid-1960s. She had been an active member of the Women of the Moose Lodge #1355, for decades.
Gisele is survived by her daughter, Judy Ann Paxton of Rochester and her son, Charles Edward Paxton of Las Vegas, Nev.; and was preceded in death by her son, Gary Lynn Paxton and daughter, Danielle Marie Paxton.
Grandchildren: Brenda (Doug) Farmwald of South Bend, James Bowyer II of Mishawaka, Bill (Terri Sue) Bowyer of Warsaw, Steven Casey of Lafayette, Angela Ogle (Brian Smythe) of Rochester, Tracy Paxton of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Jamie (Angela) Paxton of Ocala, Fla., and Robin (David) Underwood of Nolensville, Tenn.
Great-grandchildren: Alex Farmwald, Jacob Farmwald, and Erin Farmwald all of South Bend, River Bowyer of Warsaw, Kaydence Casey of Kokomo; Whitley Smythe of Rochester, Logan Richards of Plymouth, Colby Lamon of Nolensville, Tenn., Jamison Paxton, Joshua Paxton, and Brianna Cockman all of Ocala, Fla., Valorie Underwood and Claire Underwood both of Nolensville.
Gisele is survived by a sister, Danielle Andree Minor of South Bend and was preceded in death by her brother, Maurice Jean-Marius Lagneau.
