LaPAZ — Gerhardt Owen “Gary” Leed, age 83, of LaPaz, passed away at 8:35 a.m., on Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at Bremen Health Care Center, in Bremen.
Gary was born on March 9, 1931, in Plymouth, to Victor Owen and Vada Lucille (Wright) Leed. Gary married the former Mildred Griggs on July 7, 1949. Mildred preceded Gary in passing on Nov. 30, 2007. Gary owned an auto body repair shop and also was an iron worker. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion of LaPaz.
Gary is survived by his daughters, Brenda Leed of Venice, Fla., Lori (Joe) Manning of Bourbon, and Linda (Paul Sr.) Dyer of Culver; his sons, Gary Leed of LaPaz and Mark (Angie) Leed of Venice, Fla.; his sister, Sally (Wayne) Griggs of Michigan; and his brothers, Harvey (Ann) Leed of Plymouth and Victor (Carol) Leed of LaPaz; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; and his sister-in-law, Sandy Leed of Plymouth. Gary was preceded in passing by his former wife, Mildred, and his brother, Roger.
