He worked there until the cancer got to be too much. He loved camping and the outdoors. Richard was preceded in death by his father, Richard Lee Carter and stepdaughter, Angela Brummett. He is survived by his partner of 37 years, Edie Brummett, two sons, Richard and Eric Carter; three stepdaughters, Chantel (Troy) Wilt, Sherri (Brent) Copeland, Ricka (Andrea David) Brummett; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his mother, Winnie Jo Coldiron; two sisters, Denesa (Todd) Cook, LaDonna (Dustin) Cleary; three brothers, Randy (Cathy) Abbey, Eddy Mike (Leila) Abbey, Shawn (Kristen) Carter; 20 nieces and nephews and 15 great-nieces and nephews.
