Free hearing screening offered on mobile health clinic

July 30, 2014

LA PORTE — The IU Health La Porte Hospital mobile health clinic will offer a free hearing screening from 10 a.m. to noon, Aug. 21 in La Porte.
The screening is for individuals ages 5 and older who would like to identify if they have hearing loss. It involves listening to a series of tones and sounds through comfortable headphones, and responding to the sounds when prompted. Screening takes about five minutes, and information will be available to those who need additional diagnostic follow-up for a potential hearing problem. Pre-registration is required by calling 219-325-7648.
This event is made possible by funding from the La Porte Hospital Foundation.
