BREMEN — Frances Louise Sherman, 92, of Bremen, passed away at 12:45 a.m. Thursday, March 20, 2014 in Bremen Community Hospital, Bremen. She was born on June 11, 1921 in Piqua, Ohio to Carl and Margaret (Collins) Croft. On Nov. 7, 1960 in South Bend, she married Raymond L. Sherman, who died in April of 1986. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Penny D. Auckerman (Jan. 28, 2013), a grandson, Gordon S. Lamberson (Jan. 28, 1989), and a brother, Leonard C. Croft.
Mrs. Sherman is survived by her daughter, Patricia Lamberson of Bremen, seven grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
Frances lived in Michiana since 1957, coming from Ohio. She worked as a waitress at Walt’s Restaurant, on South Michigan Street in South Bend. There will be no visitation or public services. The family will gather privately at a later date. Burial will take place at Southlawn Cemetery in South Bend. Arrangements were made by Palmer Funeral Home-Lakeville Chapel, 314 S. Michigan St. Lakeville.
