Bass Lake: Dorothy (White) Bryant of Bass Lake, passed away Nov. 21, 2013 after a long illness.
She was bom July 24, 1924 to Fred and Mary White of Bass Lake and graduated from Knox High School In 1942.
On Nov. 6, 1943 she married her high school sweetheart Charles N, Bryant of Knox. They were married for 48 years.
She was a very active member of her community and church, teaching Sunday school for 50 years. She was employed for 24 years as a bookkeeper for Joey’s Wallpaper. Dorothy enjoyed volunteer work, art, sewing, and was a recipient of the Older Hoosier of the Year award.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and sister June Samack and brother James White.
Dorothy is survived by a sister Ruthanne Johnson of Plymouth. Children: GayIe (Rodger) Smith of Bass Lake, Greg (Maureen) Bryant of Brownsburg, Grandchildren: Lisa (Matthew) Bowman, Michael (Megan) Bryant, & Andrew Bryant, and Great grandchildren: Ethan, Sophia, Eva, and Keane.
The funeral was held Nov. 23, 2013 at Braman & Son Funeral Home, Knox, with burial at Bass Lake Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to : The Indiana Nature Conservancy or YMCCD Ethiopia.
