Diamond Spyders finish tourney

Plymouth Post 27 finished up the Terre Haute American Legion Baseball Tournament with a win and two losses Saturday and Sunday.
The Diamond Spyders opened the weekend with a 9-1 rout of Lafayette Post 11 but fell 10-6 to Evansville Post 265 in the second game Saturday before taking a tough 11-0 loss to Bristol Post 143 in six innings Sunday.
Clayton Adamson got the pitching win in the first game going the distance while giving up seven hits with five strikeouts and one walk.
Bremen’s Eric Knepper doubled in that win and followed with a double in the Evansville game. He also recorded one of just two hits along with Glenn’s Kyle Liedtky in the tourney closer Sunday.
Post 27 ends the Terre Haute Tournament with a 1-4 record. The team plays at Mishawaka Post 161 today at 7 p.m.
