ARGOS — Daniel Owen Good, 70, of Argos, passed away Dec. 27, 2013 at 12:46 a.m. at his residence. He had been in declining health for several months.
He was born Jan. 13, 1943 in LaPorte to Richard Allen Good and Leta Eleanor (Cox) Good. He has lived in the Argos community most of his life.
On May 24, 1997 in Kenton, Ohio he married Judy Kay Thompson.
Dan worked for the Rail Road for 14 years and then went to work for Golden Giant Building Systems (Steel Buildings) in Kenton, Ohio as a salesman.
He was a member of the Sons of the Legion at the James Lowell Corey American Legion Post #68 in Argos. He was a 35-year member of the Latham #154 F&AM Masonic Lodge, Kenton, Ohio.
Dan was a graduate of Argos High School class of 1961.
He liked fishing, golfing, driving his golf cart around town, and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife — Judy Good of Argos; son — Jeffrey Good and wife Andrea of Kenton, Ohio; stepchildren — Pamela Mummert and husband Mark of Frankton; Teresa Thompson and husband Tom of Monticello; and Gary Allen and wife Cindy of Monticello; grandchildren — Grant and Mya Good; Wesley and Sydney Alexander; Tom and Holly Thompson; Cyrus and Cody Allen; brothers — Gene Good and wife Sharon of Kenton, Ohio; and Jim Good of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and stepbrother — Ron Baker and wife Nita of Rochester.
He was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother — Leona Good, and brother — Patrick Good.
Friends may visit with the family Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos.
Funeral services will follow the visitation at 12 p.m. Dec. 31, 2013 at the funeral home, with Rev. Dewey L. Miller Jr. of the Argos United Methodist Church officiating.
Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos.
