Dale Robert Hight, 80, longtime resident of Lakeville, IN passed away in his home at 7:15 p.m. Sat., Dec. 7, 2013 after a short illness. He was born on Nov. 8, 1933 in Etna Green, to the late Willard and Orah (Kisling) Hight.
On July 1, 1961 in Plymouth, he was united in marriage to the former Sharren L. (Calhoun) Hight who preceded him in death on June 23, 1998. He was also preceded in death by his parents and his only brother, Ted Hight.
Dale is survived by his longtime friend, Goldie Clark; sister-in-law, Iliene Hight, a nephew, Jeffrey Hight and a niece, Teresa Hight.
Dale graduated from Etna Green High School in 1951. He served proudly in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany until his discharge. He was a member of the VFW in Bremen, and American Legion Post 363 in Lakeville.
According to his wishes, Dale will be cremated and burial will take place at a later date at Riverside Cemetery, Monterey. Palmer Funeral Home-Lakeville and Southlawn Cremation Services, South Bend are assisting with the arrangements.
