• St. Michael’s Church Picnic immediately following 11:30 Mass in the street in front of the church, 611 N. Center St., Plymouth from 12:30-3 p.m.
• The United Methodist Women are once again taking pie orders for Wick’s Pies. Already baked and frozen, these pies are perfect for Thanksgiving, Christmas, a holiday gift, or to keep for yourself. The pies have a freezer life of six months and will be delivered to Trinity United Methodist Church on Wed., Oct. 18. They can be picked up at the William St. entrance from 2-5 pm. Each pie is only $6. Please make checks payable to “Trinity UM Women” with the word “pie” in the memo. Order forms are available from Nancy Ferris, the Church office, and the overflow room. Feel free to help take orders. Ask your co-workers, friends, family and neighbors. Money is collected when the order is placed. Checks and orders may be submitted to Nancy Ferris 935-5530 or 935-5617. Fifty percent of the profit will go to missions and the remaining money will be used for church improvements.Nine inch pies include: Sugar Cream, Pecan, Peanut Butter, Pumpkin, Pumpkin Cheese and German Chocolate. Ten inch pies include: Coconut Sugar Cream. Order deadline is today. Please submit payment in full with your order. You may place your order and payment to Nancy Ferris or at the Church Office.
• The annual Hastings-Carris School Reunion will be held at 12:30 p.m. at Beer’s ‘Old Hastings’ log cabin, located just south of the corner of 1050 N and 425 W, Milford. There will be a carry-in dinner with drinks and ice cream provided. Anyone who has ever attended either of these one-room schools is invited along with their guests. Come and enjoy ‘Old Hastings’ with replicas of the store, church, school, and displays of old machinery around a farm pond. There will be door prizes along with the sharing of memories and stories of times past.
