December 11, 2012

PLYMOUTH — Haley Church has been named as the new varsity softball coach at Plymouth High School. Church replaces Ed Kelso, who had been the head coach at Plymouth the previous seven seasons.
Church is a 2007 graduate of Angola High School where she earned four varsity letters. She continued her softball career and earned her undergraduate degree in 2011 at Indiana Wesleyan University. While at IWU, Church earned four varsity letters and was the team captain during her junior and senior seasons. She was also named to the NAIA and NCCAA Academic All-American team during her final two years. On the field, Church was an outfielder and helped her team qualify for the NCCAA National Softball Tournament two years.
During the 2012 softball season, Church was an assistant coach for Grace College in Winona Lake. She is currently in her 2nd year of teaching art for the Plymouth Community Schools.
