SOUTH BEND — Carole A. Ross, 72, of South Bend passed away at 8:15 a.m. on Saturday, May 24 at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka.
She was born on March 14, 1942 in Chicago, Ill. to the late Paul Richard Ross and Margaret Lucille (Barden) Ross. She has resided in the South Bend area since 2010 coming from Plymouth.
She graduated from Walkerton High School class of 1960, Ancilla College in 1985 and also was a graduate of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy.
Carole was formerly a Police Officer for many years in Bourbon.
Carole was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter; Maren Borich, and one brother; James K. Ross.
She is survived by one daughter; Kara Ann Jensen of Phoenix, Ariz., one brother; Richard A. (Dolores) Ross of South Bend, and one grandson; Trevor Borich of Los Angeles, Calif.
Carole was a quilter and enjoyed being with family and friends.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Memorial where friends and family may visit will be held Saturday, June 14 from 4-6 p.m. at Hanley and Sons Funeral Home “Walkerton Chapel” located at 1216 Roosevelt Road, Walkerton.
She will be dearly missed by her loving family and all who knew her on her life journey.
The family requests that all memorial contributions be made to The American Heart Association of Northern Indiana located at 6100 W. 96th St., Suite 200, Indianapolis, IN 46278.
