PLYMOUTH — Bruce W. Hite, 62, of 11th Road, Plymouth, passed away, Monday, April 21, 2012, at 7:15 p.m., at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, in Mishawaka.
Bruce was born April 17, 1950, in Plymouth, to David Loyal and Mary Marguerite (Hoeszle) Hite. Bruce served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Bruce and Patricia Nissen were joined in marriage Feb. 5, 1971. They had been married for more than 40 years.
Bruce was a member of the Plymouth VFW Post #1162. He had retired from the Plymouth Community School Corporation as the head of maintenance.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Pat Hite; their sons, Bruce (Delea) Hite of Plymouth and Mark (Kelly) of Saint Augustine, Fla.; his sisters, Shirley (Edward) Wilcox of Argos, Barbara (Kenneth) Dickson of Plymouth, Sue (Jan) Warner of Plymouth, Lettie (Dennis) Maxson of Plymouth, and Rosemary Johnson of Culver; his brothers, Alvin (Connie) Hite of Culver, Dwight (Donna) Hite of Culver, Ronald (Mary) Hite of Plymouth, and Ray (Margie) Hite of Plymouth; seven grandchildren; and his sister-in-law, Valerie Hite of Culver. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, David.
