BHS counselor becomes Kentucky Colonel

BREMEN — Melissa Manges, counselor at Bremen High School was nominated into the the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels during the Riley Dance Marathon last weekend.
It came from The Honorable Steven Beshear, Governor of Kentucky for her work with the Riley Dance Marathon. Like the Sagamore of the Wabash in Indiana, it is one of their highest honors. Others who have received this award include Ann Margret, Barry Manilow, Betty White, Bill Clinton, Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, Elvis Presley, George Bush, Muhammed Ali, Norman Sshwarzkopf, Richard Petty, Ronald Reagan, Roy Rogers, Shirley Temple, Tiger Woods and Winston Churchill.
"I was in total shock," Manges stated.
